The southern rockhopper Penguin Eudyptes chrysocome chrysocome is a sub-species of Rockhopper penguin. It is the most frequently portrayed crested penguin in various aspects of the popular culture. They are around 48-53 cm of height, and weight from 2 to a rough 3.5 Kg. Their crest looks like spikes on each side of their heads. The Eastern Rockhopper Penguin looks a lot like it, and some scientists clasify them as the same species.
